PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical loop combustion method capable of suppressing consumption of oxygen carrier particles.SOLUTION: A chemical loop combustion method includes an oxidation process for oxidizing oxygen carrier particles by oxygen in air, and a reduction process for reducing the oxidized oxygen carrier particles by a fuel. The oxygen carrier particles include iron oxide, aluminum oxide, and a solid solution composed of a part of iron oxide and a part of aluminum oxide. In the oxidation process, an average value of a valence of iron included in the oxygen carrier particles is adjusted to more than 8/3 and 3 or less by the oxidation of oxygen carrier particles, and in the reduction process, an average value of a valence of iron included in the oxygen carrier particles is adjusted to 8/3 or more and less than 3 by the reduction of oxygen carrier particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
