摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device that can suppress reduction in heating efficiency of a magnetism heating device without causing heating insufficiency in a heating treatment when a recording material is changed so that increase in target temperature for temperature control is required.SOLUTION: A first recording material is subjected to a heating treatment while a coil assembly 3 is controlled so that a temperature detected by a main thermistor 11 will converge on a first target temperature. After that, a second recording material having a larger weight per unit area than that of the first recording material is subjected to a heating treatment while the coil assembly is controlled so that the temperature will converge on a second target temperature. In this period, if a temperature detected by a sub-thermistor 17 is not smaller than a threshold temperature Tk, the second target temperature is set lower than a second target temperature in a case where the temperature detected by the sub-thermistor 17 is smaller than the threshold temperature Tk.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
