The invention discloses a device for production and mounting optical elements directly on optical fibres or other surfaces. It comprises movement element (1) to move the optical fibre (6) closer or further away from the vessel (7) which contains optically active adhesive (8), pressure element (2) for controllable extrusion of the optically active adhesive (8) and light source (3) for hardening the optically active adhesive (8). Movement steps for movement element (1), pressure element (2) and on/off switching of the light source (3) are defined before the operation and they determine the parameters of the optical element. Con¬ trolled extrusion of the optically active adhesive (8), controlled movement of the fibre (6) (or other substrate) closer to or further away from the vessel (7), moulding by the influence of the gravitational force, and curing by controlled illumination from light source (3) will provide an optical element with desired properties. |
