The present invention relates to a method for coating titanium oxide on porous media, and to porous media coated with titanium oxide. The method for coating titanium oxide on the porous media comprises a charging step of charging micropores by coating glaze on the porous media having the multiple micropores; a titanium oxide sol coating step of coating titanium oxide sol on the porous media; and a heat treatment step of thermally treating the porous media at 400-700°C to sinter the glaze and titanium oxide in the titanium oxide sol. According to the present invention, nano-sized titanium oxide is coated on the porous media, thereby having a function of a photocatalyst.
