The present invention relates to an electric toothbrush facilitating the rotation and the upward/downward and forward/backward reciprocation of bristles, thereby more cleanly maintaining the teeth. A bristle body (130) having: a rail groove (110); circular bristles (120) embedded in both sides of the rail groove (110); and gears (140) formed at the lateral sides thereof simultaneously, is provided at the inner side of a support plate (100) to facilitate the free rotation of the bristle body such that a moving body (200) can easily reciprocate in the forward and backward directions within a predetermined range, wherein the end portion of the support plate (100) is connected and fixed to a hinge (400) such that the support plate (100) can reciprocate in the upward and downward directions within a predetermined range, and the support plate (100) reciprocates in the forward and backward directions within a predetermined range according to the operations of a connecting rod (300) and simultaneously has straight bristles (210) embedded in the upper end thereof, whereas the moving body (200) having gears (220) formed on both sides thereof is loaded in the rail groove (110), and the connecting rod (300) is connected to a driving shaft (530) of a driving motor (500) through a crank arm (510) and an eccentric shaft (520) such that the moving body (200) reciprocates in the rail groove (110) in the forward and backward directions within a predetermined range. |
