PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device capable of suppressing breakage of a counter electrode constituting an organic EL element. SOLUTION: The organic EL device is provided with: an organic EL element equipped with an insulation substrate, a pixel electrode arranged in an active area at an upper side of the insulation substrate, an organic layer arranged on the pixel electrode, an a counter electrode arranged on the organic layer; a wiring, extending from the active area throughout the peripheral area, which is arranged in a peripheral area outside of the active area at the upper side of the insulation substrate and is connected electrically with the counter electrode; and a conductive layer formed on the counter electrode in a connection part where the wiring and the counter electrode are connected.
