<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of thermal stress produced at the start and the shut-down of a gas turbine, to suppress the low cycle fatigue, to enable a long-term use, and to alleviate the labor of maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust duct is an exhaust duct 1 directly connected to the gas turbine and includes a duct plate 2, a reinforcement rib 3 that projects from the outer circumference of the duct plate 2 to the outside in a radial direction and is formed annularly in a circumferential direction, a heat shield plate 10 that covers a part of the inner periphery 2c of the duct plate 2 that overlaps with the reinforcement rib 3 in the radial direction with a space from the inner periphery 2c, and forms a heat shield layer with the duct plate 2, and a projecting wall that projects from the inner periphery 2c of the duct plate 2 to the inside in the radial direction.
