Disclosed are an information display method and a device, and a portable device having a microscope. The information display method may include displaying an image obtained from a microscope unit on a touch screen, receiving a section selection signal for selecting a section of the image from the touch screen, measuring an actual distance of the section selected by the section selection signal, and displaying the measured actual distance on the touch screen. Accordingly, the method enables a user to easily receive a variety of information on the basis of the image obtained from the microscope.
