Provided are an array substrate and a manufacturing method therefor, and a display apparatus. Not only a metal shielding layer is electrically connected to a common electrode, but also a first connection portion used for electrically connecting the metal shielding layer and the common electrode is provided on the same layer as source and drain electrodes, and is electrically connected to a metal shielding electrode via a via hole penetrating through a first insulation layer and a buffer layer. Therefore, with regard to the above-mentioned provided array substrate, not only can a storage container be formed between an active layer and a metal shielding layer so as to achieve the purpose of increasing the capacitance of the array substrate, but also a first connection portion and source and drain electrodes provided on the same layer can be formed by means of a first patterning process during preparation so as to be capable of reducing manufacturing flows and simplifying a manufacturing process, so that the purposes of saving manufacturing costs and shortening manufacturing time can be achieved finally.
