PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a base material for dicing sheets, which is superior in the handleability in a dicing step, and enables the decrease in the possibility of the production of dicing swarf produced in dicing a work to be cut, and further enables the decrease in the possibility of occurrence of fracture of a base material in an expanding step; and a dicing sheet including such a base material.SOLUTION: A base film 2 for dicing sheets comprises: a resin layer (A); and a resin layer (B) laminated on one surface of the resin layer (A). The resin layer (A) has a tensile elasticity of 1000 MPa or less at 23°C, and includes: a norbornene resin (a1) which is a resin having at least one kind of constitutional units originating from a norbornene-based compound; and a polypropylene-based resin (a2) which is a resin based on a propylene-based polymer. The resin layer (B) has a tensile elasticity of 50-500 MPa at 23°C, and a breaking ductility of 100% or more. |
