PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of executing a function of higher value-added.SOLUTION: In the broadcast receiver capable of receiving a digital broadcasting service including broadcast program information and associated information of an application executable cooperatively with a broadcast program, at least either the broadcast program video image obtained from the broadcast program information or a predetermined application execution video image acquired on the basis of the application associated information can be displayed. In the case where a command for displaying the broadcast program video image is not present in the acquired predetermined application, control is performed to display the broadcast program video image in response to a user instruction together with the application execution video image.
