The present invention relates to an internet protocol (IP) camera comprising: a camera module to obtain an image; a vehicle number recognition module to recognize a vehicle number in the image of the camera module; a communication module to communicate with a main control server using a wired or wireless communication network; a control module to confirm and control the camera module, the vehicle number recognition module and the communication module, wherein the vehicle number recognition module can be prepared by embedding a vehicle number recognition engine which recognizes and extracts the vehicle number. According to the present invention, the IP camera and a camera to obtain the image are integrally configured to provide convenience for maintenance. Also, because communication with the main control server using the wired or wireless communication network is supported, there is no constraint on the installation place of the IP camera. In addition, Information leakage caused by all kinds of security threats can be prevented by performing encryption communication, and the main control server can confirm the remote control and the operation state of each of the IP cameras. |
