An adaptive audio output method and apparatus, and an audio sending end and system. The method comprises: judging, by an audio sending end, whether an audio receiving end supports the decoding of an audio format of an audio to be played (S101); if so, outputting the audio to the audio receiving end (S102); otherwise, decoding the audio and outputting the decoded audio data to the audio receiving end (S103). By judging, by the audio sending end, whether the audio receiving end supports the decoding of the audio format of the audio to be played, and automatically outputting a decoded audio stream or a source code according to a judgement result, a user can hear a high-quality audio without any operation and settings, thereby avoiding the problem that the user conducts complex settings when switching an output device every time, so that the usage experience of the user is improved. |
