PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elongated vehicle exterior equipment having an excellent dimensional stability. SOLUTION: The surface of an elongated resin substrate 2 is covered with a metal plating layer 3. A coating film 4 is formed on the surface of the metal plating layer 3. The thickness of the metal plating layer 3 in a midportion (P portion) of the resin substrate 2 is preferably 5μm or more. The ratio (A/B) of thickness A of the metal plating layer formed on the surface of a cross section in a thickness direction of the resin substrate 2 and thickness B of the metal plating layer formed on the rear surface of the cross section in the thickness direction of the resin substrate is preferably 0.2-5.
