PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic stringed instrument capable of producing a more suitable sound in accordance with a string-pressing operation.SOLUTION: A string-pressure sensor 44 is provided for each of a plurality of frets on a fingerboard, detecting a contact state between a plurality of strings stretched on the fingerboard and the plurality of frets. A CPU 41 determines whether a pitch determined on the basis of the result of detection by the string-pressure sensor is single or plural. A hex pickup 12 detects whether or not any of the plurality of strings has been plucked. The CPU detects the vibration pitch of the string detected to have been plucked. When it is determined that the pitch is single, the CPU indicates to a sound source that the musical sound of the pitch be produced in response to the detection of string plucking, and when it is determined that the pitch is plural, the CPU indicates to the sound source that the musical sound of the pitch corresponding to the vibration pitch of the string detected by the hex pickup be produced. |
