<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel production method in which the yield of a carbide from a thermoplastic resin can be improved, particularly a novel production method in which the yield of a carbide produced from a thermoplastic resin can be improved by using an organic compound.SOLUTION: The production method of a carbide includes a step of carbonizing a mixture comprising a condensation product of citric acid or a derivative thereof, and a thermoplastic resin, by heating the same in a non-oxidative atmosphere. The mixture preferably is a solid. The thermoplastic resin is, for example, a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin.</p> |
