<p>A fastener carrier strip 62 has a plurality of frangibly connected fastener carrying bodies 66 and has a first end 68 and a second end 70. Each carrying body defines an aperture configured to receive and hold a respective fastener or nail 64 having a first predetermined thickness. The carrying container 66 disposed at the first end has a guide projection 78 that is configured to engage a register surface (52, fig. 3) of a powered driving tool magazine (20, fig. 2) that is configured to receive a carrying strip. The fasteners carried by the strap 62 each have a predetermined width such that the fasteners are secured against the register surface (52, fig. 3) of the magazine. The guide tabs 78 can exist at both first and second ends of the carrier strip and they can be formed from generally flat surface portions 80. The strips can be configured to hold nails of different widths. A method of loading the fastener strip into a container (20, fig. 2) is also included. The fastener carrier is intended to provide extra stability by using the guide projections when the fasteners width is insufficient to engage the magazines register surface.</p> |
