The present invention relates to the novel fused aromatic hydrocarbons represented by the general formula 1,
wherein R- is alkyl having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, benzyl, phenyl, naphthyl, having application in organic optoelectronics. The present invention also relates to intermediates and a process for the preparation of fused aromatic hydrocarbons of the formula 1, based on the transformation reaction of intermediates, in the presence of FeCl 3 /Kl, in a boiling organic solvent, especially methanol, in a single reaction vessel, without the need of isolation of intermediates. |
