Anion exchange resins are prepared by treating polyvinyl alcohol in solution in an acid medium with thiourea at a temperature not exceeding 150 DEG C., adding a solution of formaldehyde, heating till a gel-like water insoluble mass is formed, reducing the mass to grains, washing with water and drying till a stable weight is reached. The specified acid medium is hydrochloric acid. |
