A stereoscopic display device according to an embodiment comprises: a liquid display panel including a plurality of pixel areas arranged with rows and columns; a data driver which supplies a data voltage to the pixel area; and a patent retarder located on a front surface of the liquid display panel, polarizing a light from the liquid display panel. The patent retarder includes a first patent retarder which polarizes the light toward left, and a second patent retarder which polarizes the light toward right, with each width of the first and the second retarders larger than that of the pixel area.
