The wind turbine, under normal operating conditions, delivers generated electricity to the grid which is proportional to the wind speed. In the event of a fault in the grid, the wind turbine remains connected and delivers electricity at a lower power level. On returning to normal working conditions, a third power level is generated temporarily which higher than the normal rating. The short burst of high power is generated by a short circuit, controlling an intermediate store, control of a chopper in the direct voltage intermediate circuit or control of the rotor rotation. |
