<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator emergency stop device capable of suppressing temperature rise due to frictional heat on a braking surface during braking.SOLUTION: The elevator emergency stop device of the invention comprises: a damper 17 disposed so as to face a head 8a of a guide rail for car extending vertically along a wall surface of a hoistway; and a press spring for pressing the damper 17 against the head 8a by elastic force when the car drops by constant speed or more, the car is traveling by being guided by the guide rail for car. The damper 17 has a penetration hole 17a which penetrates vertically and in which air is circulated, on a braking surface side facing the head 8a of the guide rail.</p> |
