<p>The present invention discloses a network device which enables a user to monitor only the required information from all of the packets received (or, the field information of the packets), and a selective information monitoring method thereof. The present network device includes: one or more physical interfaces which are connected to a monitoring target host to receive network packets from the monitoring target host; and a switch fabrication module including a configurable monitoring unit which filters the network packets collected through the physical interfaces to enable selective information extraction.</p> |
