<p>Disclosed is a method for estimating sleep apnea comprising the steps of measuring a first biometric signal of a user without restraints by using a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-based sensor having piezoelectric characteristics; extracting a second biometric signal including a motion signal and a respiratory signal on the basis of the measured first biometric signal; determining a reference signal for apnea measurement including a respiratory measurement signal and a movement measurement signal on the basis of the extracted second biometric signal; dividing the determined reference signal for apnea measurement by a first time interval to generate a first evaluation signal and dividing the first evaluation signal by a second time interval to generate a plurality of second evaluation signals; calculating standard deviation information including an average value of standard deviations on the basis of standard deviation values of the generated second evaluation signals and a standard deviation value of a second respiratory evaluation signal; and determining a sleep pattern during a second time interval corresponding to the second evaluation signal on the basis of the calculated standard deviation information, wherein the sleep pattern is one among a motion estimation section, an apnea estimation section, and a normal respiration estimation section.</p> |
