The present invention relates to a cooking pot equipped with a valve for controlling the pressure of a pot and blocking the inflow of external air, wherein the cooking pot is composed of: a valve housing which is assembled on an air exhaust hole of a pot lid and has an accommodation space; and a valve body which is assembled on a mount hole of the valve housing to be able to move upward or downward, and has a pressing plate inserted into the accommodation space. The valve housing has an exhaust hole and a penetration hole, which are formed in an upper side and a lower side to form steam discharge passages, respectively, and thus while the valve body moves upward or downward according to the internal pressure of the pot, the passage is opened or closed by the pressing plate. Therefore, when cooking food, the pot is used as a pressure pot by restricting the discharge of steam until the internal pressure increases to a predetermined value due to the weight of the valve body itself, and when the internal pressure of the pot decreases due to the reduction of heat after cooking food, the inflow of external air into the pot is prevented and thus the inner portion of the pot is in a vacuum state. As such, when cooking food, the pot is used as a pressure pot by restricting the discharge of steam until the internal pressure increases to a predetermined value, and the internal pressure of the pot decreases due to the reduction of heat after cooking food, the inflow of external air into the pot is prevented and thus the inner portion of the pot is in a vacuum state, and as a result, the food cannot be easily spoiled in spite of long period of storage. |
