Coating compositions comprise solutions of a copolymer of 65 to 85 parts by weight of an alkyl acrylate having an alkyl group of at least 6 carbon atoms, and 35 to 15 parts by weight of N-tertiary butylacrylamide, the copolymer having a William's plasticity of 1.3 to 3.0 mm. Specified acrylates are 2-ethylhexyl, heptyl, octyl, nonyl and decyl acrylates. In the example the copolymer is prepared by polymerizing 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and N-tert.butylacrylamide in ethyl acetate at 80 DEG C. in the presence of benzoyl peroxide.ALSO:Adhesive tapes, bandages, corn-pads and sheets comprise a flexible backing material coated with an adhesive comprising a co-polymer of 65 to 85 parts by weight of an alkyl acrylate having an alkyl group of at least 6 carbon atoms, and 35 to 15 parts by weight of N-tertiary butylacrylamide, the copolymer having a Williams plasticity of 1.3 to 3.0 mm.
