A wiper cleaner unit (43) moves a wiper wiping unit (47) in a direction perpendicular to the orientation of inkjet heads (19) in conjunction with movement of a cap retaining unit (31) to a capped position, thereby wiping wiper blades (35) in a standby position in the direction perpendicular to the orientation of inkjet heads (19). This enables ink droplets or the like attached to the wiper blades (35) to be cleaned off by the wiper wiping unit (47), thus preventing variations in cleanliness of a printing unit (13) cleaned by the wiper blades (35). |
