PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker having a rice cooking process which improves the taste of cooked brown rice.SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a pot for storing a material to be heated; a heating part for heating the pot; a temperature detection part for detecting the temperature of the pot; and a control part for subjecting the heating part to heat control. The control part includes an immersion heating control part which performs heating control so as to make the pot for storing brown rice as a material to be heated and water in which the brown rice is immersed is at almost 90°C or higher during at least part of the period of the immersion process when receiving an indication to start a brown rice cooking process including the immersion process and the subsequent boiling process. |
