The input device may include a housing. The housing of the input device may include a first section, a second section, and a member moveable with respect to the first and the second sections, wherein the moveable member is configured to be actuated by a player to provide input to the gaming controller; and a membrane disposed between the first section and the panel, wherein the membrane impedes the entrance of foreign contaminates into the housing.

1. An electronic gaming machine for playing an electronic wagering game comprising:
a gaming controller; a panel comprising a first side and a second side; an input device mounted on the panel, wherein the input device comprises:
a housing, the housing including a first section comprising a bezel and a second section,a member moveable with respect to the first and the second sections, wherein the moveable member is configured to be actuated by a player to provide input to the gaming controller, anda membrane extending from the first section to the moveable member to substantially cover the bezel and impede entrance of foreign contaminants between the first section and the moveable member, wherein the membrane is pressed between the panel and a bottom portion of the bezel to create a seal and impede the entrance of foreign contaminants into the housing, and wherein the membrane attaches to a recess formed in the bottom portion of the bezel creating an interference fit between the bezel and the panel.
