<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron piece removal device which uses a lifting magnet and thereby eliminates an iron piece adhering to an upper surface of a mold after molten metal is poured into the mold.SOLUTION: The iron piece removal device eliminates the iron piece adhering to the upper surface of the mold by using the lifting magnet. The iron piece removal device includes: a lifting magnet 4; a dolly 3 which suspends the lifting magnet 4; a frame 2 for allowing the dolly 3 to travel; and dolly travel means which causes the dolly 3 to travel along the frame 2. The frame 2 is supported by a first support pillar 14 supporting an intermediate part of the frame 2 and a second support pillar 15 supporting a tip part of the frame 2 at a position lower than the first support pillar 14. The frame 2 is provided so as to incline to the lower side toward a spot where the iron piece is attracted.</p> |
