PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce any damage on a component which may occur during the occurrence of abnormality.SOLUTION: In a power supply circuit for generating an output voltage from an input voltage via a power supply operation (for example, the switching operation of an output transistor), when abnormality (first abnormality) is continuously detected in a predetermined time, the power supply operation is stopped, and abnormality history data including the type of abnormality as the factor of the stop are stored in a memory (S13 to S15). Afterwards, when a power source is re-supplied and then abnormality (second abnormality) is detected again, the type of the detected abnormality is compared with the type of the abnormality shown by the abnormality history data. For example, when those types are the same, it is determined that the common factor of the abnormality has not been solved, and the power supply operation is instantaneously stopped, and when those types are different, it is confirmed that the abnormality (second abnormality) is continuously detected in the predetermined time, and then the power supply operation is stopped. |
