In the brake device, cushioning members configured from a flexible material are disposed between a fixed section and a movable section. Holding cavities for accommodating and holding the cushioning members are provided in a cushioning member-holding section, which is the fixed section and/or the movable section. Openings, which communicate with the outside of the cushioning member-holding section, are provided in a portion of the side surface of the holding cavities. The cushioning members are configured so as to be capable of being taken out and put into the holding cavities through the opening from a direction that intersects with the direction of displacement of the movable section. |
