<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of enhancing brightness in light irradiation regions when a projection area consists of the light irradiation regions and a light non-irradiation region.SOLUTION: A projector 100 (electronic device with a projector function) includes; laser light sources 103-105 which irradiate light in accordance with an input image signal; a laser light scanning unit 109 which projects an image 160 in an arbitrary projection area 150 by scanning the light irradiated by the laser light sources 103-105; and a main CPU 101 which controls the laser light scanning unit 109 in accordance with information in the input image signal to extract light irradiation regions 161a-163a and scan only the extracted light irradiation regions 161a-163a when the projection area 150 consists of the light irradiation regions 161a-163a to be irradiated with light and a light non-irradiation region 164 not to be irradiated with light.</p> |
