PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a suppression characteristic of stress relaxation at the time of high temperature of a fluorine resin-made gasket for a piping seal that can be used for evaluating easily a suppression characteristic of stress relaxation at the time of high temperature without performing any test for long period of time whether or not the gasket can be used for at least one year when a stoppage of feeding of high temperature fluid fed into the piping is carried out at a pace of once per one month.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for evaluating a suppression characteristic of stress relaxation at the time of high temperature of a fluorine resin-made gasket 3 for a piping seal used for sealing a connection part between pipes characterized in that the suppression characteristic of stress relaxation at the time of high temperature of a fluorine resin-made gasket 3 is evaluated in reference to the fact that a compressibility under a fastening pressure of bearing 35 MPa at a temperature of 200°C is 15% or less.
