PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified cis-1,4-polybutadiene capable, while greatly ameliorating workability, which is an important characteristic of a rubber material, of also improving the low-loss profile and abrasion resistance performance; a method for manufacturing the same; and a rubber composition.SOLUTION: The provided modified cis-1,4-polybutadiene is obtained by adding, as an additive, an organohalogen compound immediately after the production of a cis-1,4-polybutadiene by polymerizing 1,3-butadiene in the presence of a transition metal polymerization catalyst, whereas (a) the value calculated by dividing the ratio of the Z average molecular weight thereof with respect to the weight-average molecular weight thereof (Mz/Mw) by the ratio of the weight-average molecular weight thereof with respect to the number-average molecular weight thereof (Mw/Mn) is 0.93 or higher, whereas (b) the Mooney viscosity (ML, 100°C) thereof is 100 or less. |
