<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interpolation selection method and an interpolation selection device that can select and use an interpolation method corresponding to the situation.SOLUTION: First to third correction values are acquired by changing temperature. In a coordinate system with the temperature set as a horizontal axis and the correction value set as a vertical axis, Lagrangian interpolation is used to acquire a function from the first to third correction values in the inside of the first and third correction values. In the outside of the first and third correction values, it is determined whether a virtual curve passing the first to third correction values is convex downward or upward and it is determined on which side of an upper limit side and a lower limit side an acceptable error range to output is wider. When the virtual curve is convex downward, if the upper limit side of the acceptable error is wider, the Lagrangian interpolation is used. If the lower limit side of the acceptable error is wider, linear interpolation is used. When the virtual curve is convex upward, if the upper limit side of the acceptable error is wider, the linear interpolation is used; however, if the lower limit side of the acceptable error is wider, the Lagrangian interpolation is used.
