PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery housing structure capable of effectively utilizing a space in a pedestal and easily performing replacement work of a plurality of batteries.SOLUTION: The present invention is a battery housing structure 31 or 50 of a battery-powered electric lock provided to an indoor side handle 3 mounted on an inner wall surface 2b of a door 2. The indoor side handle 3 has an inclined surface part 20a (inclined surface) of a cover 20 or 52 formed so as to be close to the inner wall surface 2b as the inclined surface goes from an upper side to a lower side, and includes a cartridge 33 housed in a power source space S2 formed between the inclined surface part 20a and the inner wall surface 2b. The cartridge 33 includes a plurality of battery holding parts 35 for holding batteries 32 parallelly provided in a depth direction, and a first holding part 36 formed at a front side is disposed so as to be displaced upward from a second holding part 37 formed at a depth side of the first holding part 36. |
