The present invention relates to a boiler safety device having an overheating preventing cable holder and, more specifically, to a safety device capable of preventing a boiler from being overheated by shorting a held cable with heat discharged when a heat exchanger of the boiler is broken, thereby carrying out emergency shutdown of the boiler. The boiler includes: a burner supplied by a fuel and generating heat from a combustion chamber; a heat exchanger (30) to heat hot water moving along a pipe passing in the inner space thereof with the heat of the burner; a controller (not shown) connected to the heat exchanger (40) to detect the temperature, thus stopping the operation of the boiler; and a cable holder (60) formed by a spiral coil (61) of a metallic wire and positioned outside the heat exchanger (30), with a base (62) placed on the heat exchanger (30) protruding from a portion of the spiral coil (61). The cable (50) connected to the boiler controller is inserted in the spiral coil (61). The spiral coil (61) is installed around the cable holder (60) at a given interval outside the heat exchanger (30). A pair of cable holders (60) is provided such that each cable holder has a center portion bent by one wire, and both ends formed by the spiral coil (61). One cable holder (60) is positioned on the front and the side of the heat exchanger (30), and the base (62) formed on one end of the spiral coil (61) is held by the heat exchanger (30). |
