PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing degradation in components constituting a heat pump absorbing heat from atmospheric air in a heater using the heat pump as a heat source.SOLUTION: A heater disclosed in the specification of the invention comprises: a heat pump absorbing heat from atmospheric air, and heating a heat medium; a tank storing therein the heat medium; a heat storage circulation passage for circulating the heat medium between the heat pump and the tank; a heating terminal radiating heat from the heat medium, and performing heating operation; a heating circulation passage for circulating the heat medium between the tank and the heating terminal; and means for calculating number of times of starting the heat pump. The heater prohibits the heat pump from restarting if the number of times of starting the heat pump reaches a predetermined number during a predetermined period. |
