PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily detecting an amyloid under a physiological condition at a high sensitivity, and to provide an amyloid binding compound immobilized semiconductor sensing device allowing such detection.SOLUTION: An amyloid detecting method includes: a step of making amyloid interact with an amyloid binding compound immobilized on an amyloid-binding-compound immobilized semiconductor sensing device; and a step of detecting the surface potential change on a gate electrode caused by the interaction.
