PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition having excellent foamability as well as foam retention. SOLUTION: The liquid detergent includes 30-60 mass% of a surfactant containing a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate (A) and an amine oxide-type surfactant, 0.01-10.00 mass% of a hydrotropic agent (excluding water-soluble organic solvents) and 0.01-10.00 mass% of a water-soluble organic solvent, and has a viscosity of 50-150 mPa s at 25°C. The maximum value of the viscosity at 25°C is present in a concentration range of 50-70 mass% and is≤250 mPa s, and the viscosity at 40 mass% concentration at 25°C is 80-150 mPa s.
