The cradle four-bar chain (5) has a cradle thrust portions (10) which are defined or preformed by straining the cradle four-bar chain main portion. The cradle thrust portions are in the shape of circular arcs. The middle portion of the cradle four-bar chain main portion is provided with a winding radius larger than the outer side of the cradle four-bar chain main portion in a mounted state without load. The arithmetical mean values or the medians of all radial deflections of the cradle thrust portions of the cradle four-bar chain main portion are positive. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method for improving efficiency, strength and acoustics of a cradle four-bar chain; and (2) taper hub washer looping gear.
