<p>The method involves treating a porous solid matrix i.e. soil sample contaminated with persistent organic pollutants, by non-thermal plasma generated by dielectric barrier discharge, where thickness of the porous solid matrix ranges preferably between 5 and 50 mm. The porous solid matrix treatment is carried out under gas flow i.e. oxygen flow or hydrogen flow. The porous solid matrix is maintained in the form of a fluidized bed at the time of treatment, where the organic pollutant is a polycyclic aromatic compound.</p> |
