PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a variation in a conveyance amount occurring when a conveyance state is switched.SOLUTION: In a recording apparatus, which includes recording means, first conveyance means for conveying a recording medium, second conveyance means on the more downstream side than the first conveyance means, driving means for driving the first and second conveyance means, and control means for controlling the driving means and in which a conveyance state of the recording medium is shifted from a first conveyance state where only the first conveyance means conveys the recording medium to a second conveyance state where both the first and second conveyance means convey the recording medium, the control means controls the driving means so that a variation in a conveyance amount occurring when the conveyance state is shifted from the first conveyance state to the second conveyance state is suppressed based on variations in loads, which interact with each other, of the first and second conveyance means with the recording medium nipped therebetween. |
