1,190,539. Mounting electric motors. MEFINA S.A. 18 Oct., 1968 [28 Nov., 1967], No. 49521/68. Heading H2A. A mount for pivotally supporting an electric motor 1 so that the latter may be turned angularly relative to a frame 2 about an axis of rotation comprises an insulating plastics material sleeve 11 engaging a hole in a casing 6 of the motor and a screw 14 supported by a foot 4 connected to the frame, the screw engaging the sleeve and the sleeve having an insulating flange 12 interposed between the foot and the casing, the flange having a lip 13 engaging the periphery of the foot so as to insulate the casing from the frame and prevent rotation of the sleeve when the motor is swung about the axis. In the arrangement shown, two supporting feet 4 form part of a stirrup-shaped bracket 3 secured to the frame 2 and each foot carries a screw 14 in threaded engagement with an associated sleeve 11. One of the screws may be replaced by a rivet. Angular movement of the motor is effected by a cam 17, Fig. 2 (not shown), and cam follower (20), the latter being attached to the motor casing and being made of insulating material and being held against the cam by a spring attached to the motor casing through an insulating grommet.
|
