PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having an elasticized outer leg cuff that includes a gasket cuff and works as expected after the absorbent article is unfolded.SOLUTION: An absorbent article is folded along a lateral direction before use and includes a liquid permeable top sheet 30, a liquid impermeable back sheet 32, an absorbent core 34, and an elasticized outer leg cuff 42. The elasticized outer leg cuff is disposed adjacent to a longitudinal side edge part of the absorbent article. The elasticized outer leg cuff has a base part 68 and a gasket cuff supported by the base part at a joint part 72 between the base part and the gasket cuff 70. The gasket cuff is provided with elasticity and has a gasket cuff upper surface, an inner cuff 100 extending laterally and inwardly from the joint part, and an outer cuff 102 extending laterally and outwardly from the joint part. Before use of the absorbent article, the elasticized outer leg cuff is folded laterally and inwardly on an inner surface of the absorbent article so that the gasket cuff upper surface faces upward. |
