PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding method and an image decoder, which perform filtering processing using a deblocking filter which improves fitness to block noise and can reduce it much more.SOLUTION: An image decoding method for decoding an image includes: a first parameter calculation step for calculating a first parameter (BS) showing boundary strength; a second parameter calculation step for calculating a second parameter (Tc) showing a limit value of a deblocking filter by using a linear sum of the first parameter (BS) and a quantization parameter (QP); and a selection step for selecting the deblocking filter used in filtering processing from the plurality of deblocking filters by using one or a plurality of thresholds determined on the basis of the second parameter (Tc). |
