PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an STL/TTL line transmission device which transmits a coupled composite Transport Stream TS consisting of broadcast TSs in plural kinds of segment formats which are coupled and synthesized freely in a designated number of segments or less than that by using an STL/TTL line and a receiving device thereof.SOLUTION: An STL/TTL line transmission device 1 of the present invention comprises: a data compression unit 2 which, by monitoring a TSP counter value for a broadcast TS in a designed segment format, removes null packets of a predetermined TSP counter value according to transmission parameters of the broadcast TS, to generate a compressed broadcast TS consisting of compressed data; and a synthesis unit 3 which couples the compressed broadcast TS and a broadcast TS which has had its data not compressed to generate a coupled composite TS. The coupled composite TS has had transmission path encoding applied thereto and is transmitted to the outside by an STL/TTL line. An STL/TTL line receiving device 10 separates the coupled composite TS which includes the compressed broadcast TS and expands the compressed broadcast TS to restore the original broadcast TS. |
