PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glass plate capable of producing a high-quality glass plate without generating devitrification and a different base material in molten glass, when molding the molten glass using a molding body.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a glass plate, when molten glass obtained by melting a glass raw material is molded by using a molding body 210 to produce a sheet glass, the width of a passage cross section of the molten glass flowing through a transfer pipe 106 for supplying the molten glass to the molding body 210 is widened gradually as approaching a connection position Z1 between an opening end of the transfer pipe 106 and an opening end of a groove part 210a of the molding body 210, and reaches a groove width of the groove part 210a at the connection position Z1, further, at the connection position Z1, the edge of the opening end of the transfer pipe 106 has a shape agreeing with at least an edge shape of a bottom surface at the opening end of the groove part 210a of the molding body 210, and a wall surface of the transfer pipe 106 is connected without a level difference to the bottom surface of the groove part 210a. |
