[Class 78 (i)] A conveyer for granular or pulverulent material comprises a flexible outer tube 1 within which rotates a conveyer worm the central driving shaft 2 of which is flexible and carries worm sections 4 independent of each other. Each section is carried by a sleeve which is connected to the shaft by a slightly conical split bush. Rigid conveyer sections may be inserted between flexible sections or connected thereto. Compressed air intakes are provided at one or several points along the conveyer to prevent the material from compacting. A nozzle at the end of the conveyer is buried in the material to be conveyed and is protected by a shield. |
